The Quirinal Palace is located on the top of the homonymous hill that is in Rome. It is one of the three official residences of the President of the Italian Republic and is one of the symbols of the Italian State, with Tenuta di Castelporziano and Villa Rosbery in Naples. It has more than 1,200 rooms.
The Quirinale Palace covers an area of 110,500 m² and is the sixth largest building in the world in terms of area and the largest residence of a Head of State in the world. By way of comparison, the whole of the White House in the United States is 20 times smaller.
