The Royal Palace of Mysore (in Kannada: ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಮನೆ) is a palatial complex located in Mysore (India). It is the residence of the Maharaja of Mysore, the Wodeyar dynasty.
Mysore has several palaces, although the term palace of Mysore makes unquestionably reference to the royal palace; However, there have been several royal palaces in Mysore, the first of which was built in the 14th century. Subsequently, new ones have been expanded, demolished and projected. The current complex was built in 1897, completed in 1912 and extended in 1940, after the previous one burned in a fire. It is the work of the English architect Henry Irwin in an Indo-Saracenic historicist style.
